3D/4D/HD Ultrasound is performed ideally between 23-35 weeks. If you plan on having only one session, we recommend having the exam performed between 23 and 35 weeks. However, excellent images can be obtained from 10 to 37 weeks. Many mothers opt for our multiple exam package to see the baby’s growth from the second to the third trimester. For twins, we recommend scans before 28 weeks. Don’t forget to hydrate!! This makes a big differeance on the quality of pictures captured.

Yes! We welcome you to bring guests. You are only limited by the number that will fit in the room approximatly 4-6 extra guests. Your guests must be on time or join the in-progress session. Scans will not be repeated for latecomers. We want the exam to be a pleasurable and informative experience for the entire family. We have a small corner with toys for children, but they should have someone to attend them in case they get bored.

Drinking 60-90oz of water everyday the week leading up to your appoiuntment helps improve the amniotic fluid levels which gives you a clearer picture of baby! 

You can help optimize the scan by eating a snack or drinking juice 15-20 minutes before the scan.  The bladder should also be at least half full. Juice, coffee and anything with a little caffeine or sugar can encourge a more active little one.  Sometimes the baby can be in a position that is difficult to get good pictures and the extra energy boost can help encourage the baby to move into a better position for scanning. 

Our First Womb date package offers a peek at your baby from 8 weeks onward. 3D ultrasound can be done pretty much any time in pregnancy. We recommend coming in with a full bladder and avoid eating an hour before hand to help reduce intestinal shadowing over the uterus. No refund will be given for a less than optimal exam, each woman’s uterus shape and position can be different and there is no way to controll what is seen.
